Web Tech - Wordpress Security: Do Not Panic!

You may well have heard all the buzz online about the attacks on WordPress security. Unfortunately this is no joke, and it needs to be taken very seriously, or all you've built could be hijacked or worse, lost to you.



I back up my blogs using a free plugin WP DB Backup. I will always restore my website if anything happens. I use WP Security Scan plugin to scan my blog regularly and asks that are suspicious-looking to be blocked by WordPress Firewall to fix wordpress malware protection.

No software system is immune to vulnerabilities and bugs. Security holes will be found and guys will do their best to exploit them. 1 step you can take is to delete the default administrator account. This is important because if you don't do it, malicious user know a user name that they could try to crack.
